I respect McMaster's answer, that each voter should decide.
First, it's true. Second, the nation has nothing to gain from one more person taking sides, but lots to gain from people reading his book and learning about the details.

@Rand He was on the show to give his opinion. Nobody was saying that voters shouldn't make up their own minds. But he was asked what HIS opinion was, and he utterly failed in his response.

Maybe that's why he was invited to be on the show, your expectations were set, and you were disappointed. But maybe that wasn't HIS purpose. Maybe the answer he gave is more important to him, a stronger opinion.
