I wouldn’t want to rank my favourite #accordion genres
Each of which might have dozens of players
But doing @accordionnoir radio for 17 years I’ve got / 26,000 🪗 songs to sort through so it’s hard to choose
So true about all the different styles and traditions.
From my perspective, the list of "favourites", or maybe influences or summat, would be entirely different with a very different type of accordion.
Here's a little taste of the type of thing we (to this level, I wish!) get up to with much more "limited" instruments (a one-row 4-stop diatonic, on the left of the line-up in the picture):
@AccordionBruce What have I done? This tune (Siberian Stomp) is now stuck in my head and I'm finding my humming and singing it all the time.
I'm going to have to get my one-row 4-stop out and play it soon, before I go mad.
