I love E09 of the #Kdrama #GoodPartner #κ΅ΏνŒŒνŠΈλ„ˆ because it talked about #forgiveness.

Forgiveness, be it shallow or halfhearted, benefit the guilty and/or the wronged. It doesn't mean #reconciliation or dropping a court case. It is lifting the burden off your soul.

I'm really enjoying #GoodPartner but eps 11&12 were intense.
The 2 women should obvs starte their own ethical law firm...

Oh, those episodes were SO intense!! A bit of a shock after most of it being relatively mild. Both FLs are such wonderful actors and I'm thrilled to watch series that are female-forward!

@EllenInEdmonton @jane23c Truth. I'm now expecting an upwards trend in the next episodes.

Also, it was good that they didn't dwell on the FL's divorce case the entire series. I was expecting they'll do that, which is a common style in #Kdrama. But surprisingly, it was only part of the character's development and growth. For a divorce attorney and first time writer, she's doing great!

@youronlyone @EllenInEdmonton
Yes it's a really good series :)

@jane23c Yep. They should start their own ethical firm.

I'm starting to wonder if the author, herself a divorce attorney, is dreaming about such a firm or already attempted it but the real world was harsh against attorneys with ethics and heart? So, she's just wrote it as a drama?

@youronlyone
There's a thought.
The legal profession isn't set up for ethics :( I'm sure they would say otherwise. You'd hope that if you expose guilty clients then innocent ones would come to you.
But in #kdrama world none of the very rich are innocent. Or is that irl πŸ€”

@jane23c Yeah, their field is so much about practically accepting any client, and they're protected by laws as well in case their client is actually guilty (and they also know it). (It's my primary reason why I didn't choose this field even though so many people told me it's the best fit for me, I don't want to get trapped in such a situation where I have to turn my back on my conscience and principles.)

I think the very rich painted that way is based on reality. πŸ˜… I mean, no matter which culture we look into, it's the same. The very rich and/or powerful are often the ones doing "bad" things, while the poor are often used as escape goats. Even way back at the time of Abraham, he had to lie about his wife to an Egyptian pharaoh out of fear he'll have him killed to steal his wife. There has always been a huge gap between the poor and the rich; and the ordinary and the powerful.

Although, I think the one thing dramas are not faithful about is that, the rich people generally don't flaunt they're rich. πŸ˜‰ They wear ordinary clothes. It is those who are poor, or used to be poor, who loves to show the world they're classy. 🀣🀣 (At least based on my experience, having met some members of conglomerate here in the Philippines.)

Of course, not everyone are "bad". Usually it's those connected to politics LOL.

@youronlyone
Sadly I agree.
Nice to speak to someone with principles :)
