This is what an angry DAR looks like.
Two weeks after we lost Dragoneer, I’ve had this anger in me about it. Just, all the time and money he ended up throwing away to a healthcare “provider” that just doesn’t give a shit, and how the rest us need to pick up those pieces.
All that money and time for no answers before his death, and for what? Anecdotally I’ve been hearing that America is the richest country in the world and a highly privatized and deregulated healthcare system is for… some vague, vibesy idea of “freedom.”
Just… what? This is what “freedom” looks like? Higher costs for a lower average life expectancy than other developed nations? Inescapable debt? Less money to buy increasingly unaffordable existence? For fuck’s sake… I don’t buy it. And neither should you.
Dragoneer is just one of the latest statistics of this nightmare these ultra-rich fucks in charge want us to accept as “just reality.” But it’s not reality - it doesn’t have to be.
And I don’t want to hear how rich a country the US is when we have out-of-control wealth disparity and this is how the wealthiest and the politicians they bought think we ought to have, if not feel comfortable saying this is too much for us. How the wealthy can just buy the government to do their whims for them at taxpayer expense.
How welfare needs to be cut back; Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security need to be eliminated; and universal healthcare is just too much - while the government has billions if not trillions to set on fire for the military and corporate subsidies. That “freedom” isn’t for us; it’s for them to horde that wealth, the wealth we built for them with our work. And still they demand more wealth and work for less in return for us.
And we can take the wealth, the work, and the future back…
