@Migueldeicaza I have an Erdos number, you have a Bacon number, we should make a documentary about people searching for their Erdos-Bacon number
@mjg59 @Migueldeicaza
Ah, the old software package, "Erdos Bacon Teaches Numbers"
@mjg59 @Migueldeicaza is an Erdős-Bacon number additive or complex? Acting is just applied imagination, after all…
@mjg59 @Migueldeicaza Did someone already figure out what Erdos’s Bacon number and Bacon’s Erdos number is (they’re the same, right)?

@jeroen @mjg59 @Migueldeicaza

I think it would be a huge coincidence if they were the same, as they count steps through different media. Erdos’ bacon number traces a path through films, while bacon’s Erdos number would trace a path through mathematical papers.

@aspragg @mjg59 @Migueldeicaza ah, I wasn’t sure how one’s bacon number is determined.
@mjg59
Don't forget to write at least one paper in the process.
@Migueldeicaza
@mjg59 I've always been unclear on whether documentaries count toward a Bacon number. If so, my Bacon number is 3, by way of saying two words during a 10 second shot of my torso in a documentary (for which I am in IMDB proper).
@mjg59 and publish a paper on the findings :-)
