Okay, the #Sabai couch is finished, sorta. Here's the photo.
Problem 1: the arm piece on the photo's right is only partially bolted in place. The holes in the back piece and the arm piece do not align. The arm piece's hole is higher up and farther forward by several millimeters. I had to prop the back piece up with a thick paperback to get enough alignment to even partially screw in the bolt.
Problem 2: the skirt conceals square wooden legs that screw into the seating platform from below. There are four of these. One on the left segment, one on the right segment, two on the center. There are two metal pieces that are supposed to be used to join the left-center and right-center pieces. Only one of these fit. The slots in the other metal piece are a sctew's width too far apart to use.
I have taken what pictures I can of the problem- the one with the back/arm bolt is hard to capture on camera- and sent them to Sabai customer service. According to a review on their site, one other buyer has had these exact same issues with this model of couch. Hopefully they can fix this...
The lack of back cushions is part of the design rather than an issue per se. I'm working on determining what's needed there.
