Ending today with an #ADHD amuse-bouche for y'all.
Every so often when something goes awry, I will mutter out loud to myself, "Great. Juuust great."
I happen to utter this phrase with the same intonation employed by Roquefort the mouse in the German-dubbed version of ARISTOCATS when he says, "Nichts. Aber auch gar. Nichts."
Here, the intonation in "gar" is equivalent to the intonation in "juuust."
This, then, leads my brain to complete the quote, which then goes on repeat in my head...

"Nichts. Aber auch gar. Nichts. Die Kätzchen sind verschwunden, Madame sprintet von einer Ecke des Wohnzimmers in die andere, und ich--habe kalte Füsse."
Over and over. I can't remember what came before or what comes after. It's just Roquefort with his cute little German dialogue until my #DAVE brain gets distracted by something else.

The most recent awry-going that triggered this took place less than an hour ago, when I choked on the Betadine I was trying to gargle and sprayed Betadine-flavored COVID germs all over the bathroom.
Very demure. Very mindful.
