Frankly Speaking
(2024 - Netflix, 12 1:00 eps)

The ML, a polite & proper news announcer, becomes afflicted with a disease & he now says whatever comes to mind without thinking. The FL wants his refreshing style for her variety show. For tropes, we get a love triangle, past traumas, social judgment, & 1st loves.

The premise is great & with the great cast, it starts very funny. This drama starts with a simple message about being your true self & accepting yourself & others for who they are. The writer then attempts to present these messages in a more serious manner & falls terribly flat in the last few episodes. It does get some redemption with some tremendous cuteness at the end, but the writer should have just stuck with the comedy.

Knowing what you know now, is it worth the time investment or better to pass??

@EllenInEdmonton

Honestly, if you're not a fan of any of the actors in the show, I'd pass.

I'm a fan of Go Kyung Pyo & so I'm glad I watched but will most likely never rewatch.

Watch "Summer Strike" instead - such a better written story.
