There are some pests feasting on my compact buddleja.
There is no webbing, so it is unlikely to be a case of spider mites. The suspects are too small to be aphids (at least those aphids I am familiar with).
These tiny pests (less than half of a millimeter in size) prefer grazing on the undersides of leaves. Their feeding leaves tiny light marks on the upper side of leaves.
What could it be? How can I get rid of it?

@ThePolishDispatch try some dish soap diluted with water in a spray bottle. Sometimes spider mites’ webs are hard to see except in certain light and angles, and may not be very apparent until a heavy infestation.
@_bluedahlia_ I will try insecticidal soap first.
@_bluedahlia_ Indeed, today I positively identified them as twospotted spider mites.
@ThePolishDispatch knowing is half the battle. Lots of pests can be handled with just dish soap. I try to stay away from pesticides, especially in the house. There are some plant based ones that may be less toxic, like Neem Oil.
