Does @.AppStorage no longer use UserDefaults, as of macOS 15.0? I didn’t see this mentioned anywhere. Deleting the directory in ~/Library/Containers no longer seems to clear it, in my testing. I could be holding it wrong. #macOS15 #macOS15Beta

@brandonhorst I’d find that surprising, but it certainly is odd!

Is it possible that it is caching something?

What happens with a defaults delete com.bundleid? And with a reboot? Still persisting data?

@cdf1982 Looks like it is caching. Deleting the Library/Containers directory and then rebooting successfully clears it. I’ve never noticed that behavior before.

@brandonhorst I thought about caching because while it never happened to me directly, I had a GlanceCam user once whose settings did not update properly and I suggested the defaults delete command, but didn’t work until they rebooted. No clue about the cause, but I bet it will be a one-off, like for them.
