There are some pests feasting on my compact buddleja.
There is no webbing, so it is unlikely to be a case of spider mites. The suspects are too small to be aphids (at least those aphids I am familiar with).
These tiny pests (less than half of a millimeter in size) prefer grazing on the undersides of leaves. Their feeding leaves tiny light marks on the upper side of leaves.
What could it be? How can I get rid of it?

@ThePolishDispatch could be either spider mites or thrips. Kinda hard to tell. You could try applying neem oil and/or insecticidal soap spray
@andy I will try that. I saw some larger individuals today and these were rather oblong in dimensions, so it might be thrips after all. I will try the soap first.
@andy I positively identified them as twospotted spider mites today. Thanks!
