My #Shipt grocery delivery window is 11:00 AM to noon and no one is shopping my order yet. No this shouldn't concern me at all, oh dear.
@robini71 This was a regular occurrence when I had it. This and their prioritizing new shoppers to train them rather than pushing orders to favorite shoppers was what eventually led me to not continue as a member and stay with instacart alone and not pay for both. I hope your groceries come soon and all goes well with your order.
@amy0223 You know, it is funny you say this because I really want to stay with Shipt because of their emphasis on Accessibility but I can’t say I have had fewer order mishaps with them then I did with Instacart. It is strange that way. That is why I only did the Shipt membership month-to-month just to try it. I suspect I may do the same as you, but that really pains me.
@amy0223 My question is, how do you get around the fact that now, in the Instacart app you can’t search for substitutions as you once could how do you make sure you get what you want if it needs to be substituted
@robini71 Unfortunately I’ve yet to have a problem searching for substitutions when I place orders and they say I might have items out of stock or low in stock. I did this as recently as Thursday and am running the most recent app version. I searched for the specific item, made sure it was selected with the quantity I wanted and choose it. And I’ve not encountered a problem choosing other replacements during a shop.
@amy0223 Really? So, when you are on the replacements screen, you see a search field after the suggested replacement? How is that possible that I don’t see it here
@robini71 Yes ma’am. I’ve no idea. :(
@amy0223 Hmm that is really strange maybe I will try uninstalling and reinstalling. I don’t have much hope but I can’t think of what else to try.
@amy0223 Well, that was a complete failure. I signed out of the app, deleted it, reinstalled it, signed back in, added an item to a cart, clicked on replacement instructions saw suggested replacements, but no search field so strange.
@robini71 I had great shipt shoppers when I used them. I had several favorite shoppers; some I knew personally. This was how I discovered that during busy times especially when they’re training new people they don’t push to favorite shoppers like they’re supposed to. They put the order into metro which allows it to be claimed by anyone and your favorites don’t see it. I finally got a csr to admit this was a thing when i was canceling. But they’ll deny it all day otherwise
