I hate adventure games with a passion. And I do *hate* them because a lot of them have very interesting settings, stories, etc. But those “moon logic” puzzles… Pants! (I’m trying a new exclamation, how’s that?) Maybe I’ll give #TheLongestJourney a chance. Maybe as a laptop-in-bed game. Maybe with a walkthrough.

At least I know it’s easy to run it with Roberta on #Steam: #ProtonUpQt installs it, then you need #ScummVM (and `inotify-tools` for me).

I also threw in this argument because I prefer it that way:

gamescope -e -b -w 640 -h 480 -W 1920 -H 1080 -i -n --adaptive-sync -- %command%.

That’s why it’s 2×2 pixels in that screenshot, but I just cut all the black bars around it.

But one may try upscaling, why not.

#gamescope

I forgot I could play it on a phone. Because #ScummVM can run on everything at this point, including Switch, Wii, 3DS, Vita, Android, Xbox, all PCs… Basically, everything I own can run it. I’m surrounded! And it has cloud storage… I’m doomed.

So I’m somewhere in the second chapter, only looked up one thing (because I missed a pretty small item; did I mention that I hate point-and-click?!).

Not perfect (a quarter of a century old!), but I can already see that it deserves to be a cult classic.
