Zotero is a free, easy-to-use tool to help you collect, organize, cite, and share research.

@zotero great to hear. should I upgrade from the beta?
@zotero thanks for providing this wonderful software to the community

@zotero ...and thank you for both:
- making it free and open source software, and
- maintaining it so well for such a long time!

I'm a regular user of Zotero and I find it extremely quick and intuitive as well as customisable to my workflow!

@zotero I just downloaded it! Looks great and I am excited for all the features! Thanks a lot for all your work. It is one of my absolute favourite pieces of software:D
@zotero congratulations to the Team for this achievement
@zotero Is this update available for Linux?

@zotero Not sure if it was there in the old version, but upgrading (which took < 2 minutes) helped me see the top-right corner drop-down V for the open tabs:
@zotero looking forward to check the changes out!

@zotero Terrific news, thanks for all of y'all work! This also means that I can finalise getting Zotero packaged for Alpine Linux

@zotero

Nice. Now to get IT to let me update the software on my work laptop….

@zotero thank you, just loving it!
@zotero
Head up that this post mentions Mac and Windows, but not that there's also a Linux release available
@_dmh @zotero There appear to be Linux 7.0 links here now: https://www.zotero.org/download

@WebCoder49
Thanks, Oliver, I did see that. My point was to bring it to the Zotero team's attention that they neglected to mention it in their big announcement
@zotero
@_dmh @zotero That makes sense - like many open-source projects Linux needs publicity from the community wherever possible!
@_dmh @WebCoder49 Thanks, but you’re just misreading the post. We’ve always had a Linux version. We don’t mention Linux in the post because there are no Linux-specific upgrade steps. The Windows/Mac lines are just about minor caveats on those OSes.
@zotero @_dmh Thank you for bringing this to my attention. [Next sentence added in a later edit.] I personally didn't know the context and have no bad feelings.
@zotero Wow - looks great! Thanks a lot for your fantastic work from one of your long-time users!
Congrats on v7, @zotero -- one of the great open-source projects of our time!
@zotero Thank you for doing this. Just the ability to search collection names is a huge upgrade!
@zotero I'm really pleased you stuck with the Firefox back-end. Zotero 7 looks great!
@zotero The update has been a joy to use but as someone with poor eyesight the new icons are harder to read and distinguish because they're flat and have thin lines. I really appreciate the work that the Zotero team does just wanted to mention this. I could give more feedback if you want
@zotero Just downloaded. 🤔
@samuelsantaella @zotero Still not working on flatpak. Had to downgrade to v6 to get it to work on #linux
