brightside@newsthump I think it is good to remember that the shift to xenophobia within Europe has been massive among a lot of politicians, media and people, for years. While Farage may be very vocal about it, e.g. some laws have been introduced silently in comparison. Think about the Rwanda contract, the Albania-Italy contract, the EU-Tunesia contract. And it is more of the same. Exploiting the Global South, climate crisis profit but wanting to keep asylum seekers out and make them a scapegoat.
