The latest news is that the police are gearing up to protect immigration lawyers whose workplaces have been targeted. Around thirty premises have been listed. There was an interesting discussion on the #bbc today programme this morning as to whether #elonmusk could face criminal charges in the #uk - not clear but one of his executives may be at risk!
Further clarification on this. Although the #onlinesafetyact received royal assent during the previous parliament some of its provisions are not yet in force - awaiting what is known as a #commencementorder - which is a form of delegated/secondary legislation. These include #criminalliability of those responsible for #onlineplatforms . Recall of parliament might enable such an order to be made earlier than previously planned .
