K1 will be out of the house soon.
I never did post last year (or a little over a year ago now). We went to #Japan and went a bit earlier than we had to (or needed to) my mainly so Kid1 could celebrate her birthday there. I've mentioned before we try and meet their special food requests at home*. But hey we'd be in Japan - so I gave kid1 the task of finding a really good sushi spot in Kobe where we'd be. After looking thinking onckid1 opted for ...
wait for it ...
Costco
(a short ๐งต next)
I know I know it's #Japan #Costco #sushi and there's plenty of that online.
Here's more ๐
A long time ago I had made a pact with the kids - they would never ask me for grocery store sushi (unless in Japan) and I would grant them their wish.
Anyways for ~US$40 (2023 rates) you get a whole big tray of sushi - with ikura!!
So yes kid1 got her own tray.
We let Kid2 have a run of the other tray before partner and I had some.
Excellent birthday sushi meal - check out that smile!

Ok so of course we didn't finish all that. Had about โ
a tray left when put together to take back
(On the bus + train/subway) - #Amagasaki back to Kobe
And yes, we had and the kids especially enjoyed #Sushi for #breakfast

(will spare you more of my #Costco #Japan pics, we got a lot of stuff there but just what we could carry in backpacks, and there was a rice cooker!)
