Former Marion police chief Gideon Cody will be charged with interfering with the judicial process, special prosecutors announced Monday.

Former chief Cody and current chief Zach Hudlin alleged that the then-Vice Mayor of Marion and the Record's reporters had impersonated a local restaurant owner when they obtained her driving record that confirmed a driving under the influence conviction, despite the driving record being public information available to anyone from the Kansas Department of Revenue's web site.
