“Trump Cash” my ass.

@Strandjunker

To be fair, we may crack the top ten by the end of the day

@BlueWall @Strandjunker and all of this is apples and oranges without considering the market total.

significant drops are considered as percentages of the market, not numerical values.
On Oct 19, 1987, the Dow dropped 22%.
it's down 2.2% so far today.

i fckn hate cheeto, who is a delinquent conman, but strandjunker's post is a bit disingenuous.

@Strandjunker Personally I think market is crashing, cause trump is going full tonto.

@tootiredtothink @Strandjunker

No one serious about the economy currently gives a fuck about Trump. Are you going to ascribe today's weather to him too?

@Strandjunker your post about Fox News being banned in various countries already was a fake news. I googled "Top 8 largest Dow Jones drops in American history" and I get very different results from what you claim.

Making up fake news is NOT helping the cause.

@Strandjunker I just received a cryptic notification saying "people who fact check for the enemy might as well be". I can't open it again so I assume the author blocked me.

Here is my reply: lying is never a good way of doing politics. It's not morally ok, and it's not good strategy either since someone will eventually call you out on your lies.

You know who thinks lying in politics is a good tool? The fascists do.

@FelisCatus @Strandjunker Mastodon is a bigger echo chamber than twitter now. This is sad.

@Strandjunker I'm not sure about these numbers.

@Strandjunker You're why Mastodon is worse than Twitter now.
@shadow06 @Strandjunker Using absolute values rather than percentages…like an idiot.

@Strandjunker
Nice toot.

Today the Dow is only down 2.6% which in comparison is a minor fluctuation.
Give it a week.

10% down (in a week or a month) is considered a correction which can be very frequent.

Remember 2008 - now that was a crash.

There was a period a few years ago where weekly changes of +/- 5% were considered normal (higher volatility).

Everyone: Do not panic.
The stock market is not the economy.

@Strandjunker
It's an aspect of The Big Lie approach.

Fascist regimes and psychopath dictators always completely crash economies.

But they maintain this complete fantasy of being the "fiscally responsible" ones - plus they maintain full rubber stretchiness on whatever the hell "fiscally responsible" means.
