More than 50 Indigenous athletes from around the world are competing for gold in this summer’s Olympics in Paris. Competitors from Turtle Island on Team Canada include relatives from the Norway House Cree Nation in Manitoba, the Blood Tribe Kainaiwa/Kainai Nation and the Métis Nation in Alberta, and the Tseshaht First Nation on Vancouver Island.
