Is there a Fediverse alternative for LinkedIn?

So it seems there is a privacy focussed (European) alternative to LinkedIn: Quodari.

I just heard about them in the latest @bitsoffreedom podcast, and need to investigate further. Does anyone here on the #fediverse heard of them? Do they have a @qoudari handle here?

Iets meer uitleg (in <500 letters):
- content sla je op in collecties
- per collectie bepaal je wie toegang heeft (privé, gedeeld met bepaalde connecties, gedeeld met alle connecties of openbaar)
- de posts zelf noemen we memo's. Daarin kan je onbeperkt tekst, foto's en documenten kwijt.
- door een post in een collectie te zetten, deel je die met de betreffende doelgroep
- een tijdlijn zonder ruis
- chat voor directe en groepsberichten
- connecties & volgers

Maar werkt het ook Federated? Kun je tussen meerdere Quodari servers communiceren, kun je updates op een Quodari server ook teruglezen in Mastodon of Hubzilla of Pixelfed?

Een simpele oplossing voor de portabiliteit van de grote platforms zoals FB zou trouwens zijn dat die door de (Europese of nationale) overheid verplicht worden dat iedereen zijn eigen content ook via een rss-feed beschikbaar kan maken. Via een instelling kan elke gebruiker zelf bepalen of de content alleen binnen bijv. FB zichtbaar is of ook op andere platforms kan worden bekeken (inclusief de klassieke rss readers). Zoals het werkt op bijvoorbeeld Wordpress.

- vrijwilligerscommunicatie
- communicatie en digitaal archief in samenwerkingsprojecten en consortia (makkelijk toegang voor iedereen, over grenzen van organisaties heen)
- delen van content in besloten groepen (trainers, coaches, ...)
- alternatief kanaal voor publiekscommunicatie
- enz.

We tried #Quodari for a while, but we stopped using it after almost month because we couldn't understand the language of most part of posts and we couldn't find new accounts to follow in our language. But we'll keep our account there. (https://public.quodari.com/public/profile/Le5NoaYA7E)
It doesn't seem like it's a replacement for LinkedIn. It feels more like a mix of Mastodon and Facebook, but it's also completely different. Looking at the public feed, it seems that the service is mainly used by people in the Netherlands/Belgium, so there's a language barrier for users from other countries. This isn't a problem in itself, but it will take some time to expand to other countries.

Need to explore first. I am wondering a lot of things as well, but I embrace the initiative!
EDIT: Through some confusing verbiage in Nolto's privacy policy, my original comment on it's origins were inaccurate. I've left them below for posterity, but here's the rectification:
Nolto is developed by @JTensetti using Lovable but it is not a part of or "by" Lovable. It was built as a fun project but has taken off on a life of it's own. It's currently hosted on Supabase but I understand this might change in the future as this project gets more popular. Looking forward to seeing this flourish!

@voorstad It uses AWS and Cloudflare. The company behind it is Lovable Labs, founded in Sweden but incorporated in Delaware with some hefty US venturecapital behind it, with links to Google. They're self styled as a "vibe coding platform".
To use one of my favorite dutch phrases; Imma watch the cat out of the tree.
But Open Source and federated, so we *could* fork and create own instances...?
And defederate if needed?

But from my uninformed position, it looks super weird. It seems untouched since June 2025 when there were 279 commits by 1 maintainer and what appears to be an AI bot.
There are 30 open issues/feature requests since 10 days ago made by 5 people.
No PR's or discussion or merges, no history where things came from other than what I can now only assume to be a vibecode platform.
The issues are wild. There's a moderation button that everyone can see regardless of your status as a moderator or not, but the button doesn't actually do anything. siteverification doesn't seem to work, you can't reset your password.
The feature requests are wilder: It's not so bad that site verification doesn't work, you can't register yourself as a business anyway.
@voorstad So yeah, we could fork and build on, but we'd essentially be asking people to create their own LinkedIn based on this vibecoded ActivityPub template as many expected features aren't there.
It *looks* like it could potentially be a fedi alternative to LinkedIn, but at the moment it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too early to tell. It looks ike this was perhaps made public a little too early?
It's certainly a cool project, but it'll need a ton of work to be considered a viable alternative.
@voorstad well, at least having a federated business networking alternative will - however bad it might be - set an example.
It's at least something to either work on and improve, or do something else with a better foundation.
But at least it helps to focus attention. And yes, being open and federated, competing movements may take off and eventually improve the whole ecosystem.
