@CandyRushSweetest Have only tried Mint so I can't be objective, but it's excellent. Take my vote with a grain of salt.

I have no idea how compatible it is with newest hardware though, never had to deal with that.

@CandyRushSweetest If those are your only two options, Mint is *definitely* the winner here. KDE Neon is cool, but its semi-rolling nature results in significant risk of breakage, even in the "user edition". If you want something KDE-based, I'd go for Kubuntu 24.04 if you're OK with slightly older, more stable software, or Fedora KDE if you want newer stuff but still value stability. If KDE isn't a top priority, then definitely go for Mint.
@arraybolt3 I see…I just noticed that a ton of people were praising KDE. I’m currently using Mint, so I guess I’ll just continue to use that! Thank you! :)
@arraybolt3 If you have any other suggestions btw, I'm willing! :)
@CandyRushSweetest neon is not really a good distro to use for your daily driver. it really exists to show off KDE plasma and you'll have a better experience on pretty much anything else
@lx12ucy Thank you, I’ll continue to use Mint. I just contemplated it for a little bit since I see people saying good things about KDE Plasma and such.
@CandyRushSweetest you can install plasma on mint :)

@CandyRushSweetest Impossible to answer without knowing your personal goals, experience, preferences, etc.

Are you new to Linux? How comfortable with/likely are you to customise the OS? Do you prefer default settings or not? Etc., etc., etc.

@normplum Well, I like the interface to be pleasing and I love to customize my interface a lot. I also would mostly be using it for writing, going on the internet, and also using apps. I also make digital art :)
I'm pretty novice when it comes to Linux, but I've experimented with it several times in the past before I decided to make it my main operating system for my laptop. I already have Mint installed. I'm wondering if there's better I could use.
@CandyRushSweetest #LinuxMint is great and is a good, solid choice as an #OS. It's fairly customisable too, however if you really want to customise a lot, #KDE is extremely customisable. So you might want to try that out for that reason.
@CandyRushSweetest I installed KDE Plasma on Mint. There are articles on how to do it.
