I'm leaning towards Pete Buttigieg for VP as well. Besides being a terrific communicator, he's not an elected Democrat so there's no risk of his being replaced by a Republican.
Also, I feel that it sends the politically powerful statement that he Harris administration is not going to be radically different than the Biden administration, just Biden 2.0.

Yes, and another benefit of his being a veteran is that we're in the midst of a very dangerous hybrid war right now even though our mainstream media is unwilling to talk about it.
I think that we should discuss international issues a lot more during campaigns here because the commander-in-chief role can be the most crucial role of the POTUS.
