And yes, it boots. And receives HF. And even, on my G5RV, receives FT8 enough to actually decode things when plugged into the laptop.

I wonder just how much my bad soldering killed the output power though. The local repeater is literally across the street from my house, I could almost hit it transmitting through a dummy load if I wanted to.
