The taxi picks me up at the hotel in Łódź, Poland, and so it begins…. 3 airborne metal tubes and another taxi later I should arrive back home in Vermont…. about 22 hours from now!
It’s been an excellent week at the Trusted Internet Summer School for Internet Governance and International Law (#SSIGIL ) talking about using LEO satellites for Internet access. Great people, fascinating research. I’ve learned a lot! (Including how to pronounce Łódź!😃)
Alas, my first flight (Warsaw to Frankfurt) is completely full so the Lufthansa agents required me to check if my rolling carryon fit their requirements. It just barely physically fit.. but at 10 kg it was 2kg over their limit of 8kg, so it had to be checked. (Didn’t know my clothes weighed so much! 🤯)
The good news is that I am heading home, so I don’t really care when my clothes get there.🤣
Plus I now get to try out the baggage tracking in United’s app.
And so the taxi pulls up to my house in Vermont and drops me off… 23 hours after I was picked up by the taxi in Łôdź, Poland.
It’s been a long day…
