AI is becoming a game-changer for businesses of all sizes and sectors.

In fact, in 2023, 8% of EU companies have already adopted AI technologies, with top-performing countries being:

🇱🇺 14,4%.

What's most exciting is that we're going to give SMEs and startups access to AI factories in the #EU and dedicated AI supercomputers, so they can use AI and stay competitive on a global scale.

AI factories are expected to be deployed in 2025.

The amendment to the EuroHPC Regulation to set up AI factories entered into force enabling the creation of a new pillar of activities for the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU).

@EUCommission I am glad to see fediverse users are pushing back against this here, but I'm not sure if these responses will reach anyone. Maybe all we can do is an EU citizen's initiative or something.

In any case, I would like to add my voice of displeasure.

Get off the "AI" hype train. It does more harm than good.

My guess is that the @EUCommission media team is expected to give some summary to the EC hierarchy about "social network feedback". Whether the team accurately describes our response as "the proposed action is seen as detrimental to most of the goals of the European Union" in its report can only be speculated on: we're still in secrecy-culture-land here, with the EC cognitively paying the #CognitiveSecrecyTax [2].
