Unmarked cars and secret orders: How a pharmacy prepared drugs for Texas’ executions — NPR

NPR identified the company that provided Texas with execution drugs and uncovered that state and federal authorities alleged the pharmacy and some of its owners violated laws meant to protect patients

@GottaLaff I wouldn’t be surprised if these states don’t start using the black market- they are so intent on killing people.

@GottaLaff Damn... just take them out back and shoot them instead

Might be more humane 🙃 👀

@GottaLaff

Well, under Trump, that'll be no problem. Mifepristone may be outlawed, but I'm sure he'll be glad to add Zyklon B to the pharmacopeia.😐

@GottaLaff It’d be nice if Texas’s pols put more effort into keeping its people alive than trying to kill them, but that’s not who Texans elect.
@GottaLaff
Why is this such a problem? I assume because lawyers, butting their way into a medical problem, have dictated what's to be used based on their extensive scientific and medical training. Why isn't a lethal overdose of heroin sufficient?
@GottaLaff One more excuse for the Trumpists to want NPR, PBS and the like to die off as well...
