I joked when the trailer came out that Mayonaka Punch was "Jellyfish Can't Call In The Night" and I was not expecting to be 120% right on just how much it is Jellyfish Can't Swim In The Night + Call Of The Night, which is good b/c I've always wanted lesbian Call Of The Night and now I think some anime executive has bugs in my room >_>
MayoPan episode 4 was like Jellyfish episode 3 levels of quality, the first 3 episodes of MayoPan were chaotic and fun but 4 was the first time it felt like the show was about something other than a bunch of disaster lesbian vampires being weird... and it also showed some character growth from Masaki realizing how selfish and petty she is for only caring about getting views... and I think it's impressive for a show about immortal vampires to tell a story about regrets and that even vampires need to seize every moment because even if they're immortal, human lives are still short
