"Utrecht - Pro-Palestina-demonstranten voeren actie bij de Kromhout Kazerne. Een aantal van hen is met een ladder op het dak geklommen of heeft zich vastgeketend aan de hekken.
Een verslaggever ter plaatse meldt dat er zo'n vijftig mensen aanwezig zijn. Ze dragen gezichtsbedekking en zwaaien met Palestijnse vlaggen. Ook roepen de demonstranten ‘Free Palestine’ en ‘from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.’

Statement

De actiegroep laat in een statement weten van mening te zijn dat Nederland medeplichtig is aan de genocide in Gaza. De reden die ze hiervoor geven zijn de militaire, en politieke banden met Israel. De groep wil dan ook dat die banden worden verbroken.

"Op dit terrein is de Defensie Materieel Organisatie gevestigd. Hier wordt mogelijk gemaakt dat Nederland voor honderden miljoenen aan wapens koopt van Israël", verklaart een woordvoerder van de groep ter plaatste. "Door wapens te kopen van Israel, financiert Nederland direct de oorlog in Gaza", aldus de woordvoerder. …"

Yesterday, we blocked access to the Kromhout Kazerne in Utrecht, near the University College Utrecht campus. We have set up a camp and successfully stayed over night! We are a broad coalition of pro-Palestinian and anti-militaristic organisations advocating against Dutch complicity in the genocide in Gaza and the unchecked militarism of the Dutch state.

Today, 9 months into genocide, the bombing and killing in Gaza is getting worse day by day. We must continue to resist and escalate day by day!
