I started the #CurrentlyAiring #kdrama #MySweetMobster which is fluffy and funny so far, yet has some depth, where the ML is a former mobster who starts a company that hires and reforms ex-convicts. Only on episode 3 and they've already addressed shame and pride and how people still very much have value even if they made mistakes in their lives. And apologizing when you were wrong.
Bonus that the ML speaks in a Godfather-esque soft hoarse voice! π
Omg, it has taken me until episode 6 to realize the mob leader who owns Club Cat is named Go Yang Hui κ³ μν which sounds just like the Korean word for cat κ³ μμ΄. π

I love the incredibly mature and empathetic way Seo Jihwan deals with Dong-Hee's visitor. Not making excuses. Apologizes for being rough at first. Working to defuse the situation and bringing it up to a private room to stop the looky-loos. Kneeling, apologizing, recognizing how much that family was hurt and is still hurting. And still marking the boundary of keeping Dong-Hee employed there. He could have been defensive but wasn't. πππ

OK. I am sticking with my 9.5/10 rating for the #kdrama #MySweetMobster after finishing it.
It loses that half point because it can be awkwardly cheesy at times (for me, anyway).
But the themes of found family, being true to yourself and your values, being vulnerable and taking responsibility, and loving and accepting flawed humans just ticks all of my boxes.
Plus the playful mobster stuff and animal names!
I really enjoyed this series a lot.
In eps 12, pay attention to the phone he picks up when he's working-from-home - I LOLed when I saw that. Details, details.
And now he's being so clueless.
But somehow still adorable.
@JillsJoy well, as it unravels I find this #kdrama a bit disappointing.
The FL is useless. She's mooching off the ML though they're not together with the excuse of doing a part-time job that wouldn't cover her living expenses alone. She does next to nothing.
And I don't know why the content creator team completely disappeared from the plot. This is a bit weird, since they're keeping the "follow and like" meme in the opening theme.
@JillsJoy she's not working for him though, like the rest of the crew.
What I inherently see isn't second chances and redeemability when it comes to the FL character. It's more of a macho perspective. She's there just like a pretty doll. They even got rid of the only female character who was successful, the other kids influencer.
The message is "the men do, the women are just there to inexplicably fall in love with and create a leverage for our enemies".

My predictions are that she will eventually resume being a kids content provider, but it will be in relation to the Thirsty Deer company. She is learning all of the backstory of the people, the company's premise and goal, and she probably isn't allergic to eating meat.
The content creator team is gone because they fired her and kicked her out. They may show up later as they regret their decision, but they aren't key to the plot.
