I think there's a faction of la Macronie which really draws an equal sign b/w LFI & RN and another faction which thinks handing over the house keys to the fafs is going too far. We saw that play out with Ensemble's désistements.

Good q about how opinion is tracking on the 6e République. Is it something IFOP tracks over time? I'm not sure. Les gauche can capture attention of less criticalthinking voters by having a leftwing #TimothéeChalamet 💜 🔥 or #PenelopeCruz 🔥 level of hottie standing with #JeanLucMélenchon as a political protegé.
The difference would obviously be that not only would that person be une gauchiste, but also someone who's actually WORKED a day in their fucking lives, is highly intelligent (either through uni or because they are autodidactic), have great oratory skills (EX: Malcolm X, Jean Luc Mélenchon, Clare Daly, Stokely Carmichael/KwaneTouré, Stephen Flynn, etc), have a background in activism (#BlackLivesMatterFrance, leftist #GiletsJaunes, helping migrants in Calais, having a background in #antifascist 
work, etc.) in a word, a proven track record of helping improve this fucked up blue marble 🌍 we all live on).
For many voters, they unfortunately focus on looks, image, presentation, how they 'feel' about the candidate without paying attention to what their policies and backgrounds are.
