So finally - after being in my possession for about two years, I've finally started work on the #MacCharlie
This thing was in absolutely disgusting condition. Completely rusted and covered in white residue - likely after being submerged in water.

I say was... Because I took it into work.

I unscrewed and removed all of the DB ports, and gave the board a clean with some iso.

One of the screws holding the DB port was so rusted, I had to use a hacksaw.

@DosFox considering the state of the DB ports it cleaned up quite nicely

here's hoping the corrosion didn't find it's way to any of the traces...!

@strm I'll be honest I'm quite surprised myself how relatively unscathed the PCB is!

There are a handful of sketchy looking traces on the board - but they thankfully appear to be okay.

I do need to buy a new bottle of iso though as the residue keeps coming back!

@DosFox Besides the external connectors, honestly looks in quite good shape for the most part. Hope you can get it working as it's such a silly peripheral.

@ChartreuseK honestly I'm just glad that it appears to all be of the shelf parts.

I need to dump the ROMs when I have a moment
