Hey, is anyone here currently using #freecad for #FEM stuff? I've been trying a whole bunch of stuff but it just seems… fundamentally broken right now? Materials don't load, no way to add solvers, mesh generation with gmsh just does nothing?

@slyka I can't use FEM right now as the dev version of #FreeCAD depends upon #OCCT 7.6 and the #gmsh packages in Ubuntu 22.04 depend upon OCCT 7.5.
I can't even compile gmsh locally.

@mfraz74 Yeah, gmsh isn't packaged for arch and I ended up having to install the binaries from AUR because I couldn't get it to compile either. But I think it works?

Same problem with calculix which needed some tweaking to compile and still threw a ton of warnings.

I do have them both installed and I can run them and freecad sees they exist but that's about it…
