@bretcarmichael Similar to what Google+ did, but unlike their use of an open link-relation @Mastodon for some reason has opted for a meta-tag name

Would be preferable if they stuck to rel-author and similar: http://microformats.org/wiki/rel-author

Or at least made use of a link-tag with a Mastodon/Fediverse specific relation.
