The parents of a dear friend of ours live(d) at McCook Lake. They spotted the #flooding in the middle of the night (no notifications given), and fled with basically the clothes on their bank. Their garage and workshop washed away, and likely the house will be totaled from inches of water that came in.

And the intentionally flooded neighborhood was delisted as flood plain by #SouthDakota a few years back, so nobody has flood #insurance .
