If you are not familiar with the full original #PandoraHolmes story: https://pandoraholmes.org - consider all coverage of her story to imply a general content warning for transphobia, medical violence, and forced detransiton.

If familiar, skip to update.

The quick version: Pandora was taken against her will by #NHS mental health staff on the 4th of June, and held on authority of her being an immediate danger to herself. During this time they took away her HRT and when she complained about this, they tried to hold her for 6 months. It took the combined forces of Reddit, Twitter, the Fediverse, and Tumblr to provide support for her, advocating for her rights before she was finally given HRT, and staff stopped torturing her. Since then she had been allowed some additional freedom and was expecting her release on Tuesday.

This page is new and still in progress. I am putting as much time as I can into this but significant updates will likely be this evening or night US time as I am currently working.

Until I get a more permanent solution up, all media inquiries should be directed through me - DM me on Reddit or here for email address or contact me on Signal at SiteRelEnby.69 (and be prepared to verify credentials via another channel). Update - 26 June

Tuesday was originally supposed to be the date #PandoraHolmes was to be released from hospital. Since the first public appeal for help on Reddit, she had been treated well and given a greatly increased amount of freedom, and provided with her HRT. This stands in contrast to how she was treated when we first intervened to help, where she had had her HRT taken away and was being tortured and gaslit by staff.

On Tuesday, it was communicated from Pandora that she would not be able to leave that day, as her new flat was not ready and they wanted that to be and to make sure she had a repeat prescription for her HRT. Pandora was instead allowed home for the day but required to come back to the hospital.

Pandora has been worrying about her cat through this entire ordeal, who a neighbour has been looking after, but her cat escaped on Monday, so on Tuesday, Pandora spent almost the entire day looking for her, ignoring friends telling her to not miss her deadline to get back. The last confirmed messages anyone received from her were at around 6:30pm UK time on Tuesday, where she posted messages thanking people who have helped her so far on her Discord server.

Since then, Pandora has gone silent. Her phone appears to still be on, but all messages and calls are going unanswered.

I spoke to Highbury hospital on the phone who confirmed that she is there, and in their words, "is ok", with no expanding on what that means. I asked if she was free to communicate and had access to her phone and was told that it was her choice - again, no clarification offered.

This is entirely atypical - I have been in communication with her since her early calls for help and in that time she has never gone more than 8-10 hours without communicating with at least one of us, and I have been regularly checking in with her specifically if she goes quiet. We are now at 24 hours since her last known message.

At this point I feel it is almost certain that she has had her phone taken from her, or something else has happened such as the staff drugging her. She may have lost HRT again but we currently have no information.

She may be being retaliated against in other ways, it is definitely possible staff will start mistreating her again now. Pandora did not try to escape, she had every intention of returning but was worried about her cat but it seems that her communication is being restricted as retaliation.

I have spoken to staff at the ward on the phone. They initially said they couldn't confirm any details. When I pointed out how much support she receieved last time, they did confirm she is there and said she is "ok". No definition of what that means. Also misgendered me in doing so.

When I asked about her going silent, they said it's her choice not to respond. I asked more directly if she had her phone and was allowed to communicate, and the nurse wouldn't answer me.

We need to keep the pressure on. Call +44 (0)115 969 1300 for the general local number, and ask to be put through to Highbury hospital, Rowan 2 ward. Ask about her status, if she is being held against her will. Ask why she has not responded, if she has her phone, if there are any restrictions on her communication, if she is getting her HRT, if they can pass a message to her that we are worried about her and we need a response from her.

Bury them in calls.
