A view towards the core of the #milkyway, with the Ink Spot Nebula (Barnard 86) visible in the upper quadrant and the Ptolemy Cluster (Messier 7) in the lower quadrant.
This region is absolutely mind-blowing through binoculars and low-power telescopes. The Ptolemy Cluster and nearby Butterfly Cluster are especially striking!
This is the first #astrophotography mosaic I’ve done. Used the #asiair and #pixinsight to plan and assemble it, and pretty happy with how it came out.
