Some of my #lettuces growing in my #FoodGarden πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎ I treated them & several other food plants with my homemade garden pests repellent. Smashed garlic cloves, immersed in water for minimum of 24 hrs. Keep refilling spray bottles with filtered water & use it til you don't smell strong garlic smells. Throw spent crushed garlic into your flower beds.
This is very effective & all natural garden pests control. You need to spray plants 3 times a week & you'll notice significant difference with garden pests not wanting to get close to sprayed plants. This DIY garlic infused spray works on flowers & food plants. Been using it for a long time.
@PhoenixSerenity thank you! I’ll try it!
It might work on Japanese Beatles cuz they don’t like garlic.
Totally different subject~ did you move to beigeparty?
Are there benefits?
Should I move?
@RiaResists I moved to Beige.party & LOVE IT! I got censored way too much on SDF & they didn't respond to several of my emails. I'm never OK with racist misogynistic admins, anywhere. I had to move.
@PhoenixSerenity oh yeah forget that!
Glad you found a good domain.
Mastodon.social’s been fine for me πŸ™‚
@RiaResists It will work on Japanese beetles & many other garden pests! It doesn't affect bees or butterflies much. They still come to pollinate.
If you have heavy aphids infestations - this will help you get rid of that problem hella fast.
I also spray it on myself before going into insects heavy wilderness areas & it works well as insect repellent too. I just smell like a walking garlic bomb though 🀣

I am sort of stoned and having a thought that I cant tell if is profound or obvious, and before I say it I want to head off ppl listing why it is obvious by clarifying that I am indeed a former sensory physiologist: It's amazing how there are few if any things that smell like food but arent food. Conversely, its amazing how almost all things that are food smell like food.

@PhoenixSerenity I use a few coffee grounds on one of my plants that the snails particularly like as apparently they hate coffee. Will see if works if the hydrangea has any leaves left!
@PhoenixSerenity Ohhh I hope this works, my hibiscus has aphids so bad and nothing seems to work
@RickiTarr @PhoenixSerenity You can@physically squish the aphids. That takes care of 90% of them. Then spray with sudsy water
@RickiTarr It cleared up aphids on one of our apple trees 🍎
