Tim MillsLooking to do a craft thing for kids where they learn to write their names in cuneiform, using clay and stylus. My question: do we have any abundant plant in Alberta that could substitute for the giant reeds of Syria and Mesopotamia? I'd love to include a make-your-own-stylus portion in the event.
I know we have reeds, but not remotely as big. I'm wondering if willow would work: durable + non-stick surface.
