@mcourcel A majority of my (close) friends in college read it, liked it, and would then talk about it. But I could never go beyond the first page. "It's trippy.." is what the majority of them used to say.

So, asking again. What's the big deal about this book?

@Deus Well, the book does ramble on in some parts. I would suggest listening to the BBC radio dramas first. That's what I did and then enjoyed the books a lot more.
