Following the UKCP board decision to withdraw from the MOU and from membership of the Coalition Against Conversion Therapy, Therapists Against Conversion Therapy and Transphobia (TACTT) put out an open letter and collected signatures from UKCP members which led to the UKCP board being called to account.

Therapists Against Conversion Therapy and Transphobia
I’m a signatory of the TACTT letter and am glad to have seen such democratic accountability from fellow UKCP members.
My main objections have been the lack of consultation and communication by the board, particularly not seeming to be sufficiently informed of the issues and not consulting with people in oppressed communities and those with deep understanding, some of whom are our clients or our colleagues, about likely consequences of their actions.
