So I had some limited success trying to fight AI-learning companies. #SoftwareHeritageFoundation did remove my work from their mirror:

> The takedown has been processed (including S3) for the following origin: https://github.com/cpresser/haargabeldings

This worked since there is ot license in that repo. So any use that I don't approve violates my intellectual property.
This also means that the process won't work your repos that do have an #OpenSource license.

So to repeat that for your repo, follow the steps as written down here:
https://www.softwareheritage.org/legal/content-policy/

I did not send my full identification. #SHF has no way to validate it anyway. And I don't want them to have that information. Instead they asked for a proof of ownership of the repo, which I did by putting up a github gist according to their instructions via email.

The whole process took little more than one month.

Here is the full email I send: https://pads.aachen.ccc.de/p/shf-takedown

@cccpresser Thank I wanted to try the same approach myself, but didn't find the time.
I'll write them an e-mail with a bunch of repos later.

The next step will be to take on laion.ai

They publish a list of URLs and recommend downloader tools with the sole purpose to violate intellectual property.

Suing them is not something I can do on my own. I need help since I don't have enough resources. Both mentally and financially. Anyone got a recommendation for a NGO that would be interested in that?
