I know it's a longshot, but does anyone happen to have a spare dinner plate the same as this one? I'm missing one from the set. I've had an eBay search running for ages but none have popped up yet. #wanted #DinnerPlate #plate #crockery

Update: I'm looking for a dinner plate, not the small side plate that's currently on eBay with 3 bowls and a mug.

@aegir My mother bought these in 1994 and they're still like new, despite being used constantly. Things don't seem to last as well now.

@druid They don’t, no. The only new stuff that seems solid is the Corelle glass dinnerware, unusual for an American product nowadays! I’ve built up a set of Washington Pottery check/harlequin, my other grandma had a full set with each place set in a different colour, though most of mine is blue. Must have been popular.

@druid Corelle is pretty good, a flatmate at uni had some (so long ago) and he dropped a plate and it bounced on its edge and he caught it! It’s tough! When it does break it goes off like a firework though.

Beat me to it but replacements.com is brilliant. Based in the US but always comes through. We had a set from the 80s (don't judge) and over time a piece would crack/get broken. They always could find a piece

Sorry to hijack your thread, @druid, but if anyone’s interested, I have my late mother’s wedding (third marriage) gift china (Wedgwood Adelphi from 1973) that was used less than a dozen times and never went through the dishwasher.

@druid @madgeface About 6 years ago I replaced a whole set of my favorite plates that were lost in a move by looking at Replacements.com. It was already a discontinued set and they had it. Actually they still have more to this day. Perhaps you could get lucky there? They have a ton of stuff so it’s a bit tough to search by pattern. It narrows a lot if you can search by brand. Good luck! (I didn’t read the whole thread so I don’t know if others already suggested this)
