Rewatching Hell or High Water a neo-Western masterpiece. I appreciate how lean this movie is, only abt an hour and a half and each scene is essential. Not just essential, just *good.* they all do something for the plot, and use they all function for characterization or setting the vibe of the movie.
I read somewhere that Taylor Sheridan says he hates exposition I appreciate that abt this movie. There is no one scene where the bros turn to the camera and explain their plan, but it’s easy enough to piece together through context.
