‘A shame before God’: Ben Crump slams anti-DEI lawsuit against Black female venture capitalists

The systematic dismantling of affirmative action and attacks on diversity, equity and inclusion efforts are showing up in courtrooms, classrooms and board rooms. The latest attack being on the ‘Fearless Fund,’ a venture capital firm that aims to help level the playing field for women of color in business. A conservative group sued, claiming that by focusing on Black women, the firm discriminates against business owners of other races. Civil rights attorney Ben Crump has been representing the ‘Fearless Fund’ during its appeal process and says it is “a shame before God” the group was targeted. “Diversity is a good thing, not something that should be set aside.”

@velshi Asking where the non-minority business funding is is like asking where the non-disabled parking spots are. It takes a special kind of narcism to claim otherwise.

@velshi

As a white man myself, I see it as shameful that this is happening. They used to be more sly about this type of thing. Hope the ladies win the lawsuit.
