Also, at this time, add in a can of stewed tomatoes (mine includes more ingredients than just tomatoes). Stir it all together and allow to come to a simmer.
After the sauce starts bubbling, add in 'a cup' of dried noodles. I am using narrow egg noodles, but elbow macaroni is traditional. I also added some water to help the noodles cook. I just filled the empty tomato can about half way and used that.
Now the hardest part: waiting. Cover the pot and set to the side of the coals, so it simmers. After about 4 minutes, stir everything up and rotate the pot so that your food doesn't burn. Repeat this until the noodles are done.#dutchoven#dutchovencooking#camping#campcooking
