There were sooo many good things about the #MobileTartu conference in Estonia πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ͺ
One of them was learning about an #OpenAccess origin-destination data in Spain πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ and starting the development of a package to work with it.
If anyone is interested in this, let us know. Credit for sharing: Egor Kotov.

@robinlovelace you could have probably guessed this would be of interest to me. Also I have a candidate implementation for GB rail passenger numbers that could be relevant here based on annual ORR data

@robinlovelace do you know if the dataset contains OD-paths within Metro- / Train-Stations?
@ehrba it's just aggregate zone to zone data, may contain such trips but at low geo resolution
@robinlovelace thank you for the quick response. Still good to know about the data, but will be more useful for #LinTim though
@robinlovelace very intersting. What are the temporal bounds of this dataset? Just the week shown here or is it longer?
@underdarkGIS it's longer and we're providing an R interface too get any bits. It's a big dataset! Would be great to get your take on cross language packaging plus docs..
@robinlovelace sounds great. I'm always interested in open geospatial timeseries datasets. Mind sharing a link?
@underdarkGIS sure and we're looking for collaborators! Feel free to jump in the issue tracker with ideas/anything, @EgorKotov who knows the data well had already got some good thoughts in there. From train back to Leeds, enjoying the #OpenSource mobility vibes!
@underdarkGIS @EgorKotov forgot to actually include link! Here it is https://github.com/Robinlovelace/spanishoddata
