I finally had a chance to watch #Expats on Amazon Prime, and it's an amazing show. There are six episodes, most of which run 60 minutes, but there's one fairly epic episode that runs 100 minutes. I watched the first five episodes in one sitting and didn't finish up the season only because it was already almost 2am when I finished the fifth episode. /1

There really aren't enough superlatives available to describe this show. Every aspect is impeccable and inviting and riveting. There is a main story that runs through the show, but it's the branches and connections that make this a remarkable show.

Going into the show, I didn't have any idea what it was really about, other than what the show title tells you, and that it's set in Hong Kong. I recommend you do the same and just let everything unfold. /2

The cast is just incredible. There are lead characters, but the supporting characters play just as important a role in the story, and many have their own stories too. Shout-out to #NicoleKidman, #SarayuBlue, #JiYoungYoo, #BrianTee, #RubyRuiz, #AmelynPardenilla, #JackHuston, #BondeSham, and a special shout-out to #JenniferBeveridge - I would watch an entire show centered around Tilda's story. /3

I really appreciated the multitude of languages and dialects in the show, given the variety of different characters. There are a lot of subtitles, and there are also times when subtitles aren't done, so you get to experience a world where everyone isn't speaking a language you know.

Highly, highly recommend. #Expats /4 end
