After the encounter with the wild hog yesterday, I chose a completely different route for today’s run. Which was useless, as I encountered a *mommy* wild hog and somewhere between 3 and 5 young ones. I did NOT take the time to count them. Instead I turned around and RAN AT HIGH SPEED the other way. This made my route a little longer than expected, I‘m a little tired now. #Running #applewatchultra2 #WildHogs
@sebastianhahn Wow. What a follow-up to a wild hog story.
@tecoholic Yes, and a little annoying. These wild hogs can really get dangerous when you encounter them with their young ones. I‘ll try another route tomorrow… 🤷🏻‍♂️
@sebastianhahn Had some wild boars on the campus where I did my schooling. I remember culverts in roads being a blessing, for we were able to cross each other without many incidents.
@sebastianhahn
“We’ll have our hog family root about in a different area to avoid where we saw that fast human yesterday”, they thought…
@mlawton That‘s what I thought (at least kind of) when I saw them running about…
@sebastianhahn Glad you are safe and yes, I'd have run run run away myself!!
@sebastianhahn my close encounters are with stray dogs which are just as “fun”. Better than an bear or a mountain lion on a US trail 😂
@sebastianhahn oink! I’ve never run into a wild hog but that’s definitely a RUN AWAY situation. I’ve come across skunks, porcupine, bobcat, fox, bear, moose, deer, and asshole guys, the last the most terrifying run away situation for me. Though I also ran pretty fast from the skunk 🤣
