Yesterday I bought a jumbo wand of bubbles on sale at Joann Fabrics when I picked up my candle making supplies.

Just now, I released a wand or two of bubbles while standing on the subway platform. A second later, a young Black woman got my attention, pulled a small bottle of bubbles out of her bag, smiled and blew a few soapy spheres into the breeze.

Don’t be afraid to be whimsical.
